This article explains how to view and update your practice location (telehealth and in-person) in the Rula provider portal, and where your location shows up for prospective clients.
Where your practice location appears
- Your city and state will appear on your public-facing profile in Rula’s therapist directory.
- If you have multiple states for telehealth in Rula, all states will appear on your profile when a prospective client is browsing providers in the directory. If a client is using a filtered search for providers in a specific state, only the matching state will be listed on your profile.
- Having your location shown in your profile helps potential clients see if you offer in-person sessions and where you are based.
How to view your practice location
Log in to the Rula provider portal.
From the left menu, select Profile.
- Click the Practice details tab.
- You can view and edit your location for both in-person and telehealth appointments from here.
How to update your practice location
- From the Rula provider portal, click the Profile tab on the left menu.
- Click the Practice details tab at the top.
- Under Where I practice, click Edit next to the telehealth or in-person location you want to update.
-
Update the location(s) as needed.
- Telehealth: You can add a new state and pause or unpause a state to start or stop seeing clients in that state.
-
In-person: You can opt-out of seeing clients in-person, as well as update your address. If you need to move and start seeing clients in a new state, you can change states as long as it's also an active telehealth state. Changing your in-person state to one that is not an active telehealth state is not possible.
- Click Save.
