This article guides you through the steps to find your Google iCal link in order to import an external calendar to your Rula calendar. It's important that you pull the correct link, or you may encounter errors during the importing process.

This calendar feature is currently in early access with a small group of providers in our network. We’ll notify you once it becomes more widely available.
Guided Steps
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Navigate to your calendar.
- Under "My calendars", find the name of the calendar you want to import to Rula.
- Click the three dots menu (...) and select Settings and sharing.
- Under "Settings for my calendars", select Integrate calendar.
- Scroll down until you see iCal link options:
- Secret address in iCal format (use if available)
- Public address in iCal format
- If you have a Secret address in iCal format, this is the link you'll use to import your calendar to Rula. You can review the importing steps here!
- Continue to step 8 if you do not have a secret address.
- If you need to use a Public address in iCal format, you need to make sure your calendar is available to the public before trying to import it to Rula.
- Under "Settings for my calendars", select Access permissions for events.
- Check the box next to Make available to public.
- Under "Settings for my calendars", select Access permissions for events.
- Now that you have made your calendar publicly available, you can copy the Public address in iCal format link and use that to import your calendar to Rula. You can review the importing steps here!

Calendar already imported from another provider?
If your calendar is already important from another provider, you may not have a Secret address in iCal format or Public address in iCal format.
If this is the case, you can follow the steps below.
- Sign in to your Google account.
- Navigate to your calendar.
- Under "My calendars", find the name of the calendar you want to import to Rula.
- Click the three dots menu (...) and select Settings and sharing.
- Under "Settings for my calendars", select Calendar settings.
- Copy the link under URL in iCal format.
