Medicaid Enrollment and Eligibility Guide - California

This guide is intended to assist therapists in completing requirements to be able to see patients covered by Medicaid in the state of California. Please follow the steps below:

1. Complete Rula's Fraud, Waste & Abuse course.
   1. For therapy providers: Complete the training within the provider portal. Here’s how.
   2. For psychiatric providers: Access this course through Workramp. Here’s how.
2. Please enroll in California’s Medicaid program (Medi-Cal) and associate to Rula with these steps:
   1. [New to Medi-Cal] If you’re not already enrolled in Medi-Cal, please first:
      1. Submit an application through the PAVE portal (instructions)
      2. Share your PAVE Application ID with Rula (form to submit here)
   2. [Already enrolled in Medi-Cal] If you’re interested in seeing CA Medicaid patients through Rula and believe you’re already enrolled in Medi-Cal:
      1. Submit this interest form
      2. In a few days, you’ll see an application from “SUD Specialty Group - CA” in your inbox to sign. Please sign using these instructions and return this at your earliest convenience.
