Accepted insurances

Rula accepts a broad range of insurance plans nationwide, including most major commercial carriers, as well as select Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid plans. Because coverage can differ by state and network, patients can confirm their in-network status during benefit verification or through the Rula portal.

Supporting patients with insurance questions

Before a patient’s first appointment, Rula verifies their insurance benefits and sends them an estimate of their cost of care. Because plan details vary, that email will confirm whether their plan is in-network or out-of-network.

If a patient has additional questions about their coverage or costs, encourage them to:

  • Check their verification of benefits email for in-network confirmation.
  • Check their Rula patient portal directly for coverage details and cost estimates.
  • If they are a brand new patient who has not begun the sign up process, they can check their coverage by using Rula's cost estimator tool to find out if Rula is in-network and get a cost estimate.
  • Contact their insurance carrier directly for clarification.

Checking which insurances you’re credentialed with

You can view the insurance networks you’re credentialed with in your Rula provider portal:

  1. Go to the Practice page.
  2. Scroll down to the Practice details section. There, in the Accepted insurances tile you’ll see the list of networks you’re currently credentialed with.

For step-by-step instructions, check out this article: Viewing your accepted insurance plans in the Rula provider portal.

Note: You cannot view insurance information or network status for individual clients in the provider portal.
