Recovering Your Rula Provider Portal Account

If you can’t log in to the Rula Provider Portal, use this guide to recover access.

Which option should I use?

Use the table below to quickly find the right recovery path:

If you... Go to...
Forgot your password Option 1: Reset your password
Got a new phone or deleted authenticator app Option 2A: Use your secret key
Didn't save your secret key Option 2B: Contact Support for reset
Portal says your email isn't recognized Option 3: Email not working

Option 1: Forgot your password

  1. Go to the Provider Portal sign-in page.

  2. Click Forgot password? (above the login button).

  3. Enter the email you use for the portal.

    • Use the same email you provided during onboarding — even if you updated your contact email later, your login email stays the same.

  4. Click Send reset code.

  5. Check your email for the code (look in spam/junk if needed).

  6. Enter the reset code in the Password reset code box.

  7. Create and confirm a new password (requirements are shown on screen).

  8. Click Update password.

You can now log in with your new password.

Note: Resetting your password does not reset 2FA. You’ll still use your Authenticator app unless you’ve lost access to it.

Option 2: Lost access to your Authenticator app (2FA issues)

If you can’t use your authenticator app (new phone, app deleted, device lost), you have two ways to recover:

A. Use your secret key (self-service)

When you first set up 2FA, you were given a secret key. This is your backup if you lose the app.

To use your secret key:

  • Download the Microsoft Authenticator app (iPhone or Android).

  • Open the app and tap + (Add Account)Other Account.

  • Tap Enter account manually.

  • Enter:

    • Account name: Rula Portal

    • Secret key: your saved key

  • Save the account.

  • You’ll see a 6-digit code labeled Rula Portal. Use this code to log in.

B. Don’t have your secret key?

If you didn’t save your key:

  1. Open the chat widget (bottom right of the page) directly in this help center.
  2. Type “don’t have secret key” so the bot knows to connect you with Support.
  3. To verify your identity, provide:

    • Full name

    • Email address on file

    • NPI

  4. Once verified, Support will reset your account.

  5. You’ll receive a new “Welcome to Rula” email with a temporary password.

    • Complete setup in one sitting (temporary passwords expire in 24 hours).

    • You’ll create a new password and re-set up your Authenticator app.

Option 3: Email not working

If the portal doesn’t accept your email address:

  1. Make sure you’re using the same email you used during onboarding. Updating your email in your Rula profile does not change your login email.

  2. Confirm that you completed your original account setup and email verification.

    • Check that you clicked the email verification link during setup.

If you skipped this step, your account remains inactive and your email won’t be recognized.

  1. Search your inbox for the original Welcome to Rula invitation email.

    • Click the Sign in now link in that email.

    • Complete all registration steps:

      • Verify your email

      • Create your password

      • Set up 2FA (Authenticator app)

      • Save your secret key

      • Verify your NPI/personal details

  2. If you can’t find the email, contact Support via chat for a reset.
