Your clients can communicate with through the Rula patient portal. Messages are sent directly through to the Rula provider portal and will appear in your Messages tab.
- Clients can find the messaging feature under the Messaging tab of their Rula patient portal, located on the menu on the left side of the page.
- Here, they will see their care team, made up of current and past providers and can start conversations with a provider by clicking on their name.
Setting expectations with your client
Clients are encouraged to speak with their therapists in their first session to understand communication expectations and processes. If you and your clients align on the messaging tool for their communications moving forward, the client should be aware of the do’s and don’ts of using the Message tab through their patient portal.
- Messaging in the portal should not be used for crisis communications.
- Clients will be reminded of this at the bottom of the message editor and be provided with contact information for national crisis lines within the messaging tab.
