Setting up 2 factor authentication on a desktop computer

Note: Please use this article as an alternative resolution only if you are unable to set up 2-factor authentication on your mobile phone using this help center article.

Overview

To make sure client data in the Rula provider portal stays secure, Rula is bolstering security by requiring an extra verification step using an authenticator app each time you sign in.

  • An authenticator app generates a secure, unique 6-digit code for you every 30 seconds.
  • Each time you log into your provider portal account, you'll be asked to type your password and enter the code from your authenticator app.

While setting up your Rula portal account, you’ll need to configure 2-factor authentication. This guide walks you through downloading and setting up 2-factor authentication with a desktop authenticator extension for the Google Chrome web browser.
